 Forever In Our Hearts

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Lend Me A Great Dane

I will lend to you for awhile a Great Dane, God said. For you to love her while she lives and mourn for her when she dies. Maybe for twelve or fourteen years or maybe for two or three. But will you, Till I call her back, Take care of her for me. She'll bring her charms to gladden you and should her stay be brief, you'll always have her memories as solace for your grief. I can not promise she will stay, since all from earth return. But there are lessons taught below that I want this Dane to learn. I've looked the whole world over in search of  teachers true, and from the folk that crowd life's land I have chosen you. Now will you give her all your love nor think the labor vain. Nor hate me when I come to take my Dane back again. I fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord Thy Will Be Done. For all the joys this Dane will bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll Shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may. And for the happiness we've known forever grateful stay. But should you call her back much sooner than we've planned. We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand. If by our love, we've managed your wishes to achieve. In memory of her we loved, to help us while we grieve. When our faithful bundle departs this world of strife. We'll have yet another Dane and love him/her all their life.

~ In Memory Of My Beloved Gina ~

They will not go quietly, the pets who've shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still can make us think we hear them at the door, or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish use to be. And sometimes coming home at night we miss them terribly. Although time may bring new friends, to fill the space left behind. But that one place in our hearts belongs to them and always will.

Rest In Peace My Sweet Baby Gina

January 11th 2004 - November 20th 2008

Gina was laid to rest beneath our crabapple tree today Nov 20th 2008. She now lays next to her best friend Kujo where they can be together again in a sweet land filled with great love and happiness.

Gina's death was the result of greed and anger, someone thought that loosing there prize trophy "a deer" was more important then a family keeping their beloved pet. Gina was poisoned by someone so full of hate, I have to wonder what could have happened to this individual to do such harm to a innocent Great Dane that has never done anything wrong. Gina past peacefully while she was surrounded by the ones that loved her dear. We will never forget this day as it has been the worst ever, Gina came into my life so suddenly and she was taken the very same way. She was so full of life, happiness, love and grace. She blessed me with beautiful babies that I will cherish forever. I hope to have the honor of carrying her spirit and memory on through her two beautiful daughters Joplin and Dixie.

We love you Gina Girl, Always and Forever!

Rest In Peace My Sweet Kujo
